Drywall paper peeling

Thanx to everyone here @ this forum, I have started to remodel my bath, new jet tub, alcove, false wall, tile floor, bla bla. My question is when I took off the floor moulding some of the top paper of the drywall started to come off, what is the best way to repair before I pait and install new floor moulding?

Thanx!

Even used that paper cornerbead, works great!

get all the loose stuff off. Just put a light skim over the damaged area with some mud. should do the trick.

Generally, I peel the loose stuff off, sand w/ 80 grit, prime w/ oil base (kilz), then skim coat. This way the paper is "sealed", especially in a bathroom situation.

Zinsser's GARDZ seals torn drywall really good. Its water-based and dries fast.
