Need Help. Contractor just left my home after applying mud to wall. I accidently touched wall and ledt a little mess. What can I do? He is returning tomorrow to finish, but did I do any damage? Thanks

dont sweat it and let it alone...you didn't do any permanent damage. The contractor will be able to touch it up..if it's the third and/or finish coat and the painters are showing up in the a.m. then he might grump a bit..if not and he has work to do at your place then he most likley won't even break stride when you tell him..
Don't try to fix it...The Mud will clump when it's tooled during most of the curing phase..
The old saying "leave oops alone" is key.
hmm. I just realized what caused the little poke marks I found last week on one area of a wall I was finishing...

update on drywall dilemma
Thanks Steve for your advice. My contractor returned tonight and assured me that I did not do anything terrible. He laughed when I told him I went on line with my problem. Thanks again for allowing me to get a goods night sleep.
