Painting Water Damaged Drywall

I had a leak in a bathroom that caused some paint to peel from the drywall. The leak is fixed and now I want to repair and repaint. What steps should I take and products should I use?

If it's just a water stain, I would spray with Kilz then paint. If it's really bad as if the drywall has started to droop or something else, I'd replace the dryway then mud and tape to paint. I guess what you end up doing will depend on how bad the damage is to the drywall.

The drywall is in pretty good shape and I think it can stay. I'm sure I'm going to have to put some mud on it, though. Do I use Kilz, then mud, prime and paint, or should I do something differently?

use the kilz first to be on the safe side. Sand it down a littly when dry. Apply the mud and let it dr. Then prime again making sure to prime enough to completely seal the area' Then paint. Sounds like a lot but it isn't.
