Popcorn ceiling repair...

We've removed a wall separating 2 rooms with popcorn ceilings. The new sheet rock is in place, and the mud has been layed, but now were trying to figure out the best way to match/blend the popcorn... We've seen signs throughout the house that indicate the original popcorn was sprayed, and we've bought the popcorn spray cans... Is this the best option for what we want to do?

For something like you're talking about, the spray can popcorn repair stuff should match pretty close, personally I would have advised you to do away with the popcorn texture during the remodeling. Good luck.

Thanks... I agree with the removal of the popcorn ceiling, however, because it's throughout the entire house, it would have been an undertaking that's certainly not very high on our priority list. That being said, it (the popcorn) is nice in the sense that it hides the imperfections in the ceiling, especially where we'll have to patch.

Thanks again!
