Drywall Tape Blistering

I'm applying the finish coat of mud on my basement remodel project and am now seeing where the drywall tape is blistering. What can I do at this point? Can it be fixed or do I need to tear out the tape and start over with that section? If I need to tear it out, any tips on how to do this?

Cut out the blister with a sharp utility knife. If the blister is only an inch or two then just fill it in. If it is bigger then re tape.
