running cable wire in exisitng walls

I was wondering if anyone had any experience or advice on how to run coax-cable from an attic down through a wall without tearing out part of the wall to do it. I am at a loss and would appreciate any help

Welcome to the forum
I'm no expert at it but I know several electricians that are. You might try reposting in electrical. I have done it a few times. You have to drill a hole in the top plate and also have a opening in the wall. [where the box will be] If the cable is stiff enough you can feed it down the wall and grab it [may need a bent coat hanger] and pull it out the hole. I'm not sure what the best thing to do if you hit obstructions in the wall. I know I would and then try again.
