Exclamation I did the stupidest thing! [Wallpaper Removal & Damaged Sheetrock]

Hi, I just recently bought a house which had the ugliest wall paper I had ever seen. So I decided I would take it down my self. I bought a steamer from Lowes, and it said to score the wallpaper first with a paper scraper. Apparently I did that wrong, b/c when I took the wallpaper off it had cut into the sheetrock. So now I'm wondering if there is anyway to repair the sheetrock...Thanks so much.

Remove the glue. Paint with kilz or the like. Sand the damaged portions and recoat. If the wall is still in an unacceptabe condition, either repeat the process or skim coat with topping compound.

If the cuts are not too wide and powdery I would patch with joint compound before priming. If you plan to repaper a good oil base primer will seal the wall where next time the paper comes of easier.
