What to do when glue from wallpaper doesn't come off??

Help! what do you do when the glue from wallpaper doesn't come off the walls? We are removing 21 year old wallpaper and the glue stays on the wall. We used Zinsser to get the wallpaper off and it worked well. The walls are textured, and we didn't have any problems removing the glue from other walls; but in this room it's been really difficult to get this glue off. Now what??? Is there anything that will get this glue off? If we prime the walls with the glue still on - will new paint adhere to the walls? Would we have to retexture the walls before priming? As you can see, we're desperate for advice

Try washing [may take a lot of elbow grease] the walls with paint thinner.

My mom just had the same problem with her bathroom. She used a razor blade to lift off remaining glue patches. Fine grit sand paper helped too. Try not to lift off the drywall paper. For places where she did, I used a putty knife and applied a thin coats of drywall compound, then sanded. Actually, this worked great to cover knicks and minor imperfections in the walls. After she painted, the walls looked great.
