Window removed, now what should I do?
#1

I need some ideas on what to put in place of a window that separated a living room from a sunroom. It's approx 60"x48", not framed out. We took the window out and the ropes used in the window. Now it's an eyesore. Any ideas on what to do in that area? Thanks! - Samantha

I'd suggest making it into a pass-through. To do that, you'd probably want to remove all the existing window molding (otherwise it would always look like a window), then patch drywall into the opening. Rather than drywalling all 4 sides of the opening, I'd think it would look nicer if you drywalled only the top and sides and used wood on the bottom (that maybe sticks out an inch on each side of the wall, to sort of create a sill/shelf. Under that, just put some sort of molding to finish it off.
