False Wall over Brick Wall
I have a galley kitchen with wall cabinets on only one side. The other wall is brick. I'd like to add wall cabinets. I know I could attach the cabinets directly to the wall. Howevewr, I also lack outlets. So my plan is to construct a standard framed wall, and attach it to the brick. The question is how? I figure on using Tapcon screws but don't know if I should get really long ones and go through the studs. attach 2x4 by 12" perpendicular to the studs, and use the Tapcon, or metal brackets? Any thoughts?

Thanks, YEah I started thinking that right after I hit send
The floor is a slab, so I will use anchors or concrete screws, above are joists running Perpendicular to the wall, so it should be a no brainer.
