Question Fogging texture for drywall

Can anyone tell me what a fogging texture is, how it is applied, and what it looks like? Thanks.

I have never heard of fogging texture. I can only assume it is slang for a light orange peel texture - similiar to several rolled coats of paint.

It's not Orange Peel

I think it is a finer texture than Orange Peel, but I don't know exactly what it is - else I wouldn't ask.

You really can't get a texture lighter than orange peel. You can't get a lighter texture than a thin light orange peel - less texture and it would be back to flat - no texture.

Is it possible they are trying mist the wall with texture in place of primer?
