Question Vinyl siding problem

Vinyl siding on home for 20+ years. How do I check the wood under the vinyl siding for damage, or should I not be concerned?

Any piece of vinyl siding can be unlocked by using a vinyl siding unlock tool, available at most hardware stores. It is simply a handle with an angled hook on it. Actually unlocking the siding is the easy part and can be done by using your hand at any seam. But you usually need the "unlock" tool to zip the siding back on again.

The places you should be most concerned about are usually under windows. If your home has a good quality building paper underneath the vinyl siding you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
