texturing

Do I need to clean the walls of all the dust from sanding the joints, before I can texture? Will the texture just soak up the dust and stick to the wall okay? If I do have to get rid of the dust before I texture, should I use a damp sponge and just wipe all the walls and the ceiling down before I texture? Thanks in advance!!

Clean the dust off. Use a broom or a very rung out mop.

Doesn't have to be perfect, but get as much as you can.

Yes, clean the dust off, as Mark said. The texture will not stick to the dust.
