Texturing: Wait time to paint??

Hi. After I texture my walls(just spraying on, not doing a knockdown finish), how long should I wait till I paint? The room will be about 65 degrees. Is just a couple of hours long enough? I'd like to texture and paint all in one day. Thanks in advance!

Temp and humidity go a long way in how long it takes texture to dry. I have textured and primed in the same day but with warmer temps and low humidity - fresh air circulation will help with the humidity. At 65` it would be better to wait until the next day but you might get by with texturing early inthe day and priming late.

The danger of painting too soon is the wet paint can soften up the texture enough that the act of painting moves the texture around

Better safe than sorry, I'd wait till the next day. Mark also said something different than you had in your original post and I think it's worth pointing out - you did mean prime after texturing, not paint, right?
