Demo'ing a stud wall on a concrete floor?
I need to remove a 30 foot partition in a small warehouse and want to save the materials. I removed the drywall and electricals so I just have studs and the top and bottom plates. There is nothing over the top and the bottom plate looks to be anchored to the concrete floor with square masonary nails. What is the best way to get this out without damaging as little of the lumber as possible. I'd like to lay it down so I could knock the plates from the studs but how do I get the bottom plate up?

If it was nailed together, as you lay it down the nails will pull out leaving the bottom plate on the floor. Then you can salvage the studs and go to work removing the bottom.

As to the bottom plate, you might be able to use a bimetal blade in a sawsall, but cut nails (sounds like what you have) are hardened, might be tough on blades.
You could also just cut the bottom of the studs and then twist them out.
You may wind up using a demo bar to get the bottom plate out. Might be easier, since cut nails are tapered, they actually pull straight out pretty easy.
