fixing roofing nails in ceiling
I have 3 hard metal nails protruding through my raw wood beam ceiling from roofers mis-nailing. What is the best way to repair this? I would like to remove the nail flush at the ceiling, if possible. The bolt cutter I used leaves about a 1 inch stub.

Something like this...357 - 7 inch End Cutter @ Channellock...will cut pretty close, but not flush.
Would you be able to then tap it back up into the ceiling slightly and cover the hole with putty or caulk? It would only have to be slightly below the surface.
Can you get to the area on the roof where the nails were put in wrong and remove from there?

Gunguy45- Thank you very much for your reply! First, I will see if I can pull from above. Then if I need to, I will use the end cutter. You are right; either way I plan to use the clear sealant to assure no leaks. Your help is very much appreciated!!

If you push or pull the nails, make sure you caulk on the roof,
your going to want to stop any water from penetrating not dam it up from the bottom.
If you have access to a dremel tool or a rotozip, they are great for cutting nails flush, you just have to be careful and control the tool.
