Wallpapering Quandary

I was wall papering a room and everything was fine till i got to a section of one wall that the paper started peeling off after about 30 minutes. I removed the peeling sections and proceeded to re-paper,and the same thing happened.

All walls were prepped the same. I'm using pre-pasted paper.

Any ideas as to what the fix for this is?

Thanks

I'm not a paper hanger but it's always been my understanding that the paste used on pre paste wallpaper isn't much account. All the paper hangers I've worked with would repaste the prepasted paper.

Could it be that section of wall is cooler - uninsulated exterior wall, drafty window?
What prep was done?

I thought about the room being cooler, especially in that section,so i turned up the T-stat well before the second try.
Actually, that section is in the area of a gas stove.

I removed the old wall paper and washed the walls down to get rid of any glue residue, etc.

I'm thinking of getting some regular wall paper paste and re-doing it.

Thanks for your reply.

Follow up:

I purchased some wall paper paste that is compatible with the pre-pasted wall paper, and no more peeling.

Thanks for your comment.
