Is this wall load bearing?
I am planning on installing a pocket door and am wondering if the portion of the wall that the door slides into is load bearing. That structure in the attic picture is a skylight located over the master vanity area. The other two pictures show the skylight from below and and where the pocket door is going. The door will slide to the right into the area below the skylight. My quesiton is if it's okay to remove the studs located in the wall beneath the skylight to install the pocket door frame?

The only thing I can see that is bearing is the ledger brace coming down in the vicinity of the wall you want to modify. It seems to be tied close enough to the triple studs so it won't be an issue. You have a hip roof so most of the bearing is on the outside wall anyway.
If you haven't already chosen a pocket door frame, may I suggest using a Johnson preframed unit. The Stanley, while a good quality product, is not as easy to set up and use as the preframed one is. You know you will have to tear out the receiving wall in order to install the framing, right?

If you buy from BigBox be sure the door you get has hardware. When I worked at BigBox the hardware packs had been shoplifted from the units but the mangers didn't want to take a hit by dumping them and the hardware cost too much to replace so they just set waiting for the unsuspecting to buy them.

I picked up a prefamed unit from Home Depot. The brand is Masonite.
