HI, I am in the process of giving my 1980's kitchen a facelift. I am painting my cabinets a creamy ivory and doing a backsplash. I originally was going to go with a natural stone subway tile untill I came across a glass & stone mozaic tile that I like too. My counter tops are laminate and are suppose to look like "slate". They have shades of blue, gray, tans and pinks. Please see the link below for pics of the two types of tile I am tring to choose from. PS this is my first tile job :) Thanks :wall: **************

Hi all, I have some problems with some of the walls in my house. I've taken pictures of them to show you guys. First is this corner, it is near the ceiling. It looks like some paper material (brown) which can easily be torn of peeled off. My question for this is, since it seems to spread across the corner (last picture) how can I repair this? And since it is textured, how can I match it up? Another wall in the house seems to have many crack lines that seem to be lifting/bubbling. I can push on the crack lines and there is movement.. I plan on repainting these rooms but I need to fix these before doing so. I've done some painting and plastering(very small stuff) before so if this job is DIY'able i'll certainly give it a try.
