Load bearing or not

Is there anyway to tell from the inside of the house only if a wall is load bearing? The center of our house is the living room with vaulted ceiling with bedrooms and either side of the house. The wall I am looking at is a bathroom/bedroom wall that is parallel from the back exterior wall of the house. Since the wall is only about 5 feet from that I was hoping that might mean it is not load bearing since they are not that far apart. The house is on slab. The attic had recently had new insulation put in and it is very deep and almost impossible to see the floor so as where to step that is safe and of course the wall I want to move is in the farthest back corner, too tough to get to. Any suggestions to figure this out.

Are the joists in the attic running perpendicular to the wall? I bet they are, in which case, I'd say it's load bearing. You can always pay an architect to tell you, which is worth the money, IMO.
