moisture on walls
I have a home that was built in 1952 on a slab. The problem that I am running into is that the outside walls on NE, E and SE corners in the winter time get wet when there is something place too close to them. This will begin to mildew after a bit. What causes this and how do I fix this.

Sounds like you have poor air circulation and your east wall is cooler than the others walls for some reason. This can lead to condensation because the cooler air near the wall surface will not hold as much moisture as the other walls. What is the actual humidity in the center of the room?
Just a guess based on the information supplied.

Your 1952 (58 years old) home was not built with typical house wrap and vinyl siding. It could have wrapped and resided and the windows may have been replaced.
Window installation is notoriously horrible (65% badly installed as a rule).
The leakage source of the moisture is probably from above (windows and doors without flashing under the wrap) and it just migrates down and horizontally and shows up just above the bottom plate. The roofing and ventilation could also be higher source for the moisture. - It will take some detective work.
