Wall Damage...Remove Drywall?
Our house is 17 years old. We bought it in January. I recently came across some damage in the baseboards of one wall in the office. It's old termite damage, I believe. There is no sign of activity, and I know that the previous owner had termite treatment service because we inherited her contract.
I'm curious to know if someone with more experience could take a look at these pictures and let me know if I ought to remove the drywall. There is some evidence of tunneling near the surface, below the paint, but not a lot. I can see a little of one stud through the hole behind the baseboard, and it seems to be fine.
I feel like I should probably remove the drywall and check the studs, but I don't know a lot about this kind of damage and am looking for some other opinions. Thanks!

I'd lean toward opening it up and replacing any termite eaten wood but it probably isn't necessary. Have you taken a screwdriver and poked the wood to see if it's still fairly solid?
