I have a car port (walls on three sides). I would like to wall in this room and make it into a play room for my children. How do I go about planning, purchasing materials, and constructing an exterior wall. It will be exposed to the outside directly. I plan to install large windows to enjoy the weather, etc. Any help and suggestions on construction and minor electrical (an outlet or two) would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and attention.

There is a whole lot more involved in doing this than you realize. You would be changing the garage or carport to a Groug R structure. It will need more than just an exterior wall and "an outlet or two". Go check with your local bldg. dept. and see what they will require. If this structure is not attached to your house, they might not even let you do it.
