We are looking at a new home and we are concerned about how the drywall was installed - the home is approx. 2 months old and there are nails 'popping' out from the drywall in the ceiling and walls. Is this normal? Is there a way to correct this before the walls and ceiling are painted? Is this due to the normal settling of the house?

No, this isn't normal. If you know who the builder is, point it out to him. Me, I'd be looking at a different house.
