cutting wainscotting

I have just starteed to do some remodeling work in my home and was wondering if anyone had any tips or suggestions on how wainscotting was cut properly (mitre box?/on angle or straight/type of saw best), any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance

Exactly what cuts on the wainscoating are you trying to accomplish? That will determine the proper saw (or other tool) you need to do it.

cheap paneled wall solutions

Is it possible to skim coat or plaster over walls that are paneled in that cheap seventies fake paneling? This room was once the garage, and we are seeking alternatives to drywall ect. Under these walls are simply insullation, and studs. We would rather not rip all of this our right now...

We are looking at a new home and we are concerned about how the drywall was installed - the home is approx. 2 months old and there are nails 'popping' out from the drywall in the ceiling and walls. Is this normal? Is there a way to correct this before the walls and ceiling are painted?Is this due to the normal settling of the house?
