Satin and eggshell enamels have a slight sheen that more evident from an angle view than from straight on. IMO you are spending way too much time trying to get the touch up to match. I'd repaint the wall from corner to corner and be done with it. I've never been in a Menard's store, none around here.

Whats the main difference between flat and eggshell?
The difference is in the sheen, or reflectiveness. That said, the texture of the applicator can affect the reflectiveness more than the paint itself. I would paint the entire wall with your choice of paint, using a low-nap roller, or rollers, for the entire surface.
