Reducing noise from above neighbor

A new neighbor just moved in the condo above ours. She listens to her TV at all hours. She doesn't have it on particularly loud, it's just our converted apartments were not built very soundproof. Is there some type of soundproof drywall (or combination of materials) that we could use so as to not hear our upstairs neighbor. I have a good friend who can install drywall ceilings.

You could install sound board. It is sound proof sheetrock. The kind like in motels. This is probably your best bet at this point.
