Remove top half of wall

Hello,

I would like to demolish half a brick wall that stands between my living room and kitchen. I will then have a bench/counter fitted to be used as a table with stools on the side of the kitchen. The wall is made of masonry.

This is the wall that I want to demolish. I want to remove the top half or most of the top half to make it a bar:

This is the big picture:

This is the wall I want to place the TV on or on a piece of furniture:

This is the other side of the wall that I want to demolish:

Any ideas? I know its difficult but at least I'll give it a shot!

Thanks

Welcome to the forums!

Is this a plaster covered masonry wall? What is above it? Before proceeding you need to make sure it's not a load bearing wall!
