would laminate flooring work as wainscot in an attached garage? would it attract moisture and warp? would you attach to sheet rock with glue?, cut out rock and install 1x4 strips, and nail/staple? Thanks Barry

Welcome to the forums! Laminate flooring uses gravity a lot to keep it in place. Having it on a wall may not work unless you glue it to the sheetrock. Sheetrock is often glued to studs, with a few screws to help it along until the glue sets up.
Totally lost me there.
Laminate must have a solid backing.

Wainscoting in a garage? Do you plan to use the garage as a garage or will it be living space? I tend not to completely finish a garage as a ding in unfinished sheetrock is no big deal but if the rock is painted, then you feel obligated to fix the ding - in a garage, this can be an unending battle.

Nope. Gotta have a solid substrate if you do it at all. I don't recommend using laminate flooring for any wall application. Why not use sheet wainscoting and glue it to the sheetrock that's already there.
