Whats the min drying time between coats (thin vs thick) Joint compound?
Used the mesh. I am looking at about 18 hours
Should be OK?

There are a lot of variables between dry times. In most cases 18 hrs should be enough but things like temperature, air flow, and humidity will change things.

You need to let the mud tell you when it's dry. If it's grey, it's still wet - it will be white throughout when it's dry. Humidity and temperature are the 2 biggest things that affect the drying time.

Mesh tape has a bad reputation [lots of failures] It's best to use a setting compound [like durabond] when using mesh tape.

Second to Mark's comment - you'll get better results with paper tape than mesh; not intuitive but it's actually stronger than the mesh stuff.

You should be fine with 18 hrs of dry time. Likely less.
