drywall edges
how would you finish the edges of the double layer drywall on the ceiling in this picture. It mentioned something about using a bead in the shape of the letter z. I have vinyl J-bead that i think would work well. Just never used j-bead before and not sure if i can mud it like a corner bead. I dont want it to look like there is actually a j-bead on there when its all finished.
Thanks

You probably won't find it at a big box but any drywall supply house should have the corner bead you need. I don't know the name for it
but it's like a normal corner bead on one end with just a 1/2" lip on the other.

You want to use an L bead. You can either get 1/2" or 5/8", depending on the thickness of your DW. I prefer metal over vinyl. You finish the bottom like a cornerbead and caulk were the L meets the next layer
