Popping and cracking in walls and ceilings
I was wondering if anyone has had loud popping and cracking in their walls since a smart meter was installed on their home. I'm wondering if the radiofrequency radiation is causing noises in the structure.
I never had loud pops in the walls until the Fall of 2009, and this is exactly the period when a smart meter was installed on my home.

Popping and cracking doesn't sound like a good thing. The last time I heard someone say that and electrical in the same discussion... there was more then smoke (not to scare you with such little detail).
I only get popping and cracking in my walls below -35'C.

Depending on the age of the house, the construction quality, the species of wood(s) used in the framing and several other things snap, crackle and pop can be all the way from non-existent to literally keeping a person awake at night. My house, built in 1987, does it occasionally but mostly when the temperatures take a decided turn. Last week had daytime highs in the eighties and today it is barely 65. I had a pretty loud snap an hour or so ago.
I had a friend that used to live only a few miles from here that had a house built in the early 60s and that place would creak, snap and groan all day as the temperature rose and then creak, snap and groan all night as the temperature fell. Yes, that house is still standing and I'll bet still making a lot of noises.
