Adding a header to a header LVL
In the process of a house remodel and we are attempting to add another aspect to it now and am in need of some assistance. I am waiting now to talk to a estimator and get help that way, but figured I would ask here as well and hopefully get more ideas of the correct way.

Starting with the first pic, we want to expand the doorway from its current size to almost double. It would run from where it starts currently to the plywood/drywall divide right behind the stove. This is a exterior wall though and I cannot tear it out. I plan to build a second wall and build a double LVL header at 12" through the doorway and push it against the old wall creating a 7" thick wall.
Jumped to the third pic and you see I have already done this same basic thing dividing our living room and kitchen with a 12" LVL. It also has a straight shot to the kitchen doorway I am wanting to expand.
In the first pic you also see a 2*6 wall. The wall itself is there just cause, but the first 2*6 is a 4 member support post of the header above it, you see in pic 2. I cannot remove the post without some other support for the header.
I propose running a double or triple LVL header from the living/kitchen header to the kitchen/dining header for support of the upper header so it kinda makes a I or H type header through our kitchen.
Thoughts, opinions?

I agree. An on site engineer will be your best bet in determining what you can and cannot do with the load bearing partitions and posts. I do question the use of what looks to be 2x4's as ceiling joists. What is their purpose? They won't hold sheetrock at that span.

Talking with a estimator/engineer today. I understand the desire to not say what to do, I was looking for what others had done or would do.
The 2*4 are the ceiling joists and they were replaced. They replaced 2*4 that held drywall for years. However I was planning on putting a support board to the floor joists above them at either the center or most likely in thirds.
