Non-drywall ceiling?
Hello,
I am new to this site, wanted to know if instead of hanging drywall I could use OSB or plywood for the ceiling? This location is a small garage I am converting to a theatre room, any suggestions would be appreciated.

My first question would be why you wanted to do this?
There could be code issues here which require the drywall for fire rating.

And sheetrock is normally cheaper to buy, easier to finish, and better at sound deadening. Why would you want to use OSB or ply?
