Caulk brick wall to wood ceiling?

I moved into a loft apartment where the cinder block walls meet the ceiling in a not so nice way (see attached image).

I'll be painting the wall, is it advisable to do something about this ceiling joint? Should I put caulk in the spaces or is that a bad idea?

Thanks

Welcome to the forums!

I'd install some wood trim [stained to match the ceiling] to cover the gap. You could caulk it but it will take some work to make it look decent ..... and it won't look as nice as a straight piece of molding would.

Thanks! Yeah, that would be a much better idea..I don't think caulking would look great, even if it was a good job.
