Drywall meets tile

I had the shower re-modeled last year, and just recently put up new drywall. there's a large crack between the the two on one wall. i had an issue getting it past some concrete backer.
What's the best way to approach filling and finishing this area?

Welcome to the forums!

I'd sand the fresh j/c smooth and then flat tape the edge up to the tile. Once the tape is finished, caulk where the tape/drywall meets the tile.

I am assuming there is framing behind the sheetrock. Without it it will crack forever as the humidity changes in te room.

Unfortunately, the lower half of the wall doesn't have a stud on the outside edge.
This is my first go at dyrwall, and that was something I didn't notice when putting it up. I slid a beam behind the lower wall before installing the top half, but it's not exactly secure. I was hoping to avoid having any vertical seams, but maybe I should cut back to the nearest stud and redo this area?

If you have the option, at this stage, I would support this sheetrock and repair as Marksr indicated. You'll never second guess yourself
