Wall Repair

Hi all,

My son fell while holding one of his juice plastic bottles and dented the wall. It's about 2" across and 1" deep.

Can you help me figure out how to repair?

If its just a dent then spakling compound will fix it. If it's cracked you need to cut out the the cracked section and replace it with new wall board. If that's the case let us know and we can walk you through it. It's not hard.

You did not say what your wall is made of but I assume gypsum board. In that case pick up some patching compound at your local home center. Follow the instructions but it's pretty simple. Just trowel the compound into/over the dent. Let it dry. If it sinks in after drying it may take a second thin coat, sand, then paint to match your wall.
