Painting half a wall

So... i have to remove tile around my counter top in the bath room to remove a black granite sink stained by hard water.... never new it needed to be sealed...

anyhow after i remove tile back splash i will not replace i just want to re paint the wall same colour as before... i have left over paint...

question can i paint half the wall? Only reason i ask is that i would have to remove the toilet to re paint the rest which i don't want to do???

Thanks

Welcome to the forums!

You can always just paint half a wall whether or not it will look ok depends on how old/new the existing paint job is, the color used, type of paint, lighting, etc.

If the paint job is recent, I'd try just painting what needs it but if you have to paint the whole wall, paint around the commode - no need to remove it.

It's not likely a 2 yr old paint job will touch up so you'll probably need to repaint the wall. You'll probably need to strain the paint before using it.
