What kind of ceiling is this, is it likely asbestos, and how would I replace it?

Just bought a home and the basement has wood paneling on the walls and I have no idea what the ceiling tiles are. How difficult would it be to replace with sheetrock or a drop ceiling? How likely is it that the current ceiling contains asbestos? It was built in 1965. ANY help, tips, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Those look like old Armstrong lock in place tiles. I think (?) they have furring strips to which they have been stapled to. Again I'm not sure but I don't believe they have asbestos in them. I suspect if you remove them you will see your rafters exposed.
