Is this load bearing?

I know this is almost an impossible question to answer without inspecting the wall however, based on this picture, does this appear to be load bearing? I want to remove the wall marked in the red. I tend to think that it is not because it looks like a built out closet.

Welcome to the forums!

The odds are that it isn't load bearing but all but impossible to say without an onsite inspection. What is above the walls, attic? another floor?

In all probability the red lines are not load bearing. The black line is. What type header is there over the bedroom closet door? There should be a corresponding bearing beam or wall below as well to carry the weight to footing.

This is a bungalow type house. Bed room upstairs the entire length of house. There is not a corresponding wall in the basement but I have not inspected enough to see if there is a beam. If I find a beam, I assume the load bearing wall should be directly above it? Is it possible that both walls are load bearing?

Not likely. The joists will land on one location if available and continue to the opposite bearing point.
