Need help with a crack interior wall
Hello,
Under one of my window, there is a crack going down. So I pealed some of them. and this is whats inside. What is those dark dots?
How can patch his up the proper way/

The dark dots are the nail heads. They always rust a bit.
Remove all the loose paper and material. Coat with joint compound and imbed some paper tape into the JC. Let dry. Coat a couple more times feathering out the repair. Sand and paint.

Usually it works best to cut around the edges with a utility knife so the paper doesn't rip further. Coating the exposed gypsum with primer will prevent the moisture in the joint compound from dissolving the gypsum although you might get by without it, especially if you use a setting compound like Durabond. Let the tape coat have enough time to dry! If you recoat with j/c too soon it can pull the tape loose.

I was looking in homedeopt.com ,
only was able to find adhesive tape strip for drywall. can anyone give me a url or exact name for the adhesive tape I need to use?
