Drop Ceiling- Materials

Hi everyone,

1st time attempting a drop ceiling, not sure what materials I need. I have looked at different stores for a kit- do they even make kits? If not, how do you know the hardware needed to put in your ceiling?

I am in Canada and have looked at Home Depot, Rona, Home Hardware.

Thanks!
A

The pros use a rotary laser level, however they can be quite spendy. A self leveling laser line level would likely work just fine and can be had starting at $50

Before the advent of the rotary laser, the use of strings made it happen. The kit I show next has clamps that tighten down on your L wall brackets, to which you can stretch a string across the room. A little less accurate, but it works. The lags and tool are indispensable when running across joists. It's a kit, but for a small, really small room. You get the idea on what you would need, however.
