Need to remove planks to repair leak in basement ceiling
Hello folks,
We discovered a small leak in the basement ceiling this weekend. .
The ceiling is a wood plank ceiling. I think I will need to remove just a few of them to get to the trouble area. I've never done this before and don't want to damage the planks and will want to put them back as the leak is new and the planks are OK.
I can post pictures if that helps?
I appreciate your advice in advance.

Well, this is embarrassing. You are right ... I am looking at the other side of the floor. That shows you how clueless I am!
Now that I know there is no space between the floor upstairs and the ceiling downstairs, I need to see where the water is leaking behind the cabinets and stuff.
Thank you: that was very helpful already!
