basic wall texture
greetings. i am moving along with my bathroom remodel. i have had to replace some drywall. how do i get the same texture on the walls as in the rest of my bathroom. the bathroom is rather large.
This is a builders grade level house that was built about 8 years ago. the wall texture is nothing fancy...looks like it possible could have been rolled on even.
i have seen a method where you get the consistency of the compound more liquidy and use a paint roller to put it on? will this method work? any recommmendations? can i do this over painted drywall for a uniform look?

Most textures can be duplicated with thinned down j/c How thick/thin it is along with the method of application determines the texture. I don't know off hand what perlite texture is
but I'll google it if I have time. As Mitch said, pics would help - http://www.doityourself.com/forum/el...your-post.html
edit; from the pics I saw, perlite looks similar to a sand texture. Sand texture were somewhat popular back in the 70's It's a packet of granules that is added to paint to give the texture. Orange peel is more common and looks a little bit the same but softer.
