Drywalling on staircase

Hi guys,

1st attempt at drywalling and it is going quite well. However, I have come to the staircase and I am quite intimidated. Can someone walk me through the steps to ensure angles are correct?

Thanks in advance

Normally the drywall goes behind the skirt board and the angle isn't all that critical. What do you have on the walls now? Some pics might be helpful - http://www.doityourself.com/forum/el...your-post.html

Rest one end of a 4' level on the stringer, level it, measure straight down from the bottom of the opposite end of the level to the stringer, use a second level or framing square to make sure your measurement is plumb, and transfer the number of inches of fall in 4' to your drywall. Use the cut off piece as a template for the remaining cuts.

If you start hanging at the ceiling, you can measure down from the sheet above. Use your drywall square on the sheet above to give yourself a reference line to measure from.
