Knock Down Ceiling Texture

How do you repair damage to knock down ceiling texture? Howj do you get the proper texture? What materials do I need? Thanks Amanda Morris

Hello,

If your simply patching a small area, I'd suggest you buy one of those textures in a can. They work fine for small area's. The spray cans are made by Homax, and they should be available in most any hardware store.

If your area is larger (Like maybe a wall), the cans of spray would cost way too much. You can either hire someone, buy a hand-held pump sprayer. The hand held pump sprayers do work, they're just not really much fun to work with and they can cost a bit.

If your area is a whole room, I'd say hire someone, or try a mud-dobber or textured roller.
