Question

looking to buy a foreclosure home, electric has been turned off, sump pump not on, 2" water in basement. The basement is not the problem, mold/mildew has formed on the walls and ceiling. Is there anyway to cover this with a primer before painting, so it won't show back though? Or are the walls and ceiling going to have to be replaced?

Kilz works great for this after you have cleaned it off. Kilz is a primer/sealer/stain blocker. It is a shallac.
