Asbestos ceiling tiles (hotel)?

Hello, I know, this doesnt really belong here, but i dont know where else to ask. I'm currently staying at a Hampton Inn in Florida and was wondering about the ceiling tiles in the room. Do you know if tiles like these usually contain asbestos or are they just wood wool panels? Thanks for your help!

Even if they were asbestos they wouldn't be dangerous unless you plan to spend the next twenty years there breaking some up and inhaling the dust every day.

Major hotel chains tend to remodel every so often so I doubt any asbestos remains [if it was ever there] but as Ray said, asbestos is only dangerous in dry powdery form where you can inhale it. Guess you'll have to find something else to keep you up at night

Why are you concerned about knowing?

Figuring we might be missing something since whether they are asbestos means nothing to any of us, for the most part.

I'd just like to be safe. I'm concerned because the tiles are not in great shape anymore. The staircase floor is full of dust from the ceiling tiles.

They appear fine in your pictures - you're sure the dust is from them?

If so, I would inquire with hotel management.
