tiling drywall with thinset
I was installing 42cm x 32 cm tile in the kitchen using thinset.
Unfortunately, they keep falling off.
first, put them directly on the drywall ... they fell off.
then, I primed, and there still falling off.
I do not have access to tile glue.
what works?

Those are pretty big tiles. what size trowel are you using and is the thinset modified? When the tiles come off the wall, how much thinset has transfered from one surface to another. If the wall is not straight and flat, you will not get good contact.

Was the drywall new? Was the drywall painted? I have found that old, painted drywall especially in a kitchen does not let thinset stick to it very well. Sometimes there is a thin coating of grease that must be thoroughly removed.

Mix your thin set thicker, not so wet. You could also try putting on a scratch coat of thin set, let it dry, then back butter the tiles and install them similar to installing stone.
