Textured wall repair help

Hey everyone -

Not super handy here. But can follow directions. Anyway, got a hole in my wall put in by a door knob. You can't see the color too well, but the paint's yellow. See picture below.

How do I match the textured look?

Just need a set of steps to follow.

Appreciate it,

Dan

Fill the hole with Easy Sand and prime and paint with a high nap roller.

That might be more texture than can be easily replicated with a roller and paint. I usually thin down joint compound and pat it over the repair with a sponge. You can also buy aerosol cans of orange peel texture.

There are wall protectors you can apply which work instead of the door stop shown above. The nice thing is the hole tells you exactly where to put it.
